Meet your host, Harry Travis
Harry Travis has spent more than 35 years at the intersection of pharmacy, healthcare, technology, and business, and he's still curious about what's next.
A pharmacist, healthcare executive, entrepreneur, and founder of the RxRoundtable, Harry has held senior leadership roles with some of the industry's most influential organizations, including CVS Caremark, Aetna, Cardinal Health, Medco, and Baxter Healthcare. He has led large-scale pharmacy operations, built businesses, advised healthcare organizations, and experienced firsthand the challenges of bringing new technology to a complex industry.
As President of The Travis Group, Harry now works with pharmacy, digital medicine, and medical technology companies, while continuing to stay close to the people and ideas shaping the industry. He is particularly passionate about artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, and what they actually mean for the practice and business of pharmacy.
Harry also knows what it's like to be on the entrepreneurial side of innovation. As President and CEO of etectRx, he helped lead a digital health startup that developed an FDA-cleared digital pill system designed to reliably indicate when a patient has taken their medication.
Today, Harry brings that experience and a genuine love of learning to the microphone with Friends of Harry. He's a patient listener, a thoughtful questioner, and someone who would rather understand what is really happening than simply repeat the latest industry buzz. His goal is simple: have lively conversations with smart people and discover something along the way.
